The Freeman Coliseum renovated their Coliseum and wanted to highlight their 75 year history and future capabilities in a video.

CLIENT:
Freeman Coliseum

CUSTOMER’S CHALLENGES / NEED:

The Freeman family came to My Story with the idea of capturing the legacy of this San Antonio institution while also displaying the amenities of the facility to generate new business. They wanted to show the Coliseum as a premiere and top-of-mind venue for a great Latino event. The Freeman family also wanted to show off recent blockbuster shows and acknowledge county leaders and board members that value  diversity in the events.

RECOMMENDED SOLUTION:

My Story and Sprocket teamed up to capture footage at LIVE events. We recommended that our efforts be focused predominantly on the upsurge of Latino events. We also rolled out a Latino market program on the different Spanish-language media venues like Univision and Telemundo and online to thank the Latino community of San Antonio and surrounding areas for continuing to make make memories at the Freeman Coliseum.
It was also important for all the interviews to be conducted in Spanish so that the latino community feels like this is not a band-aid effort but a true invitation and acknowledgment from San Antonio and Bexar County leaders.

RESULTS:

Sprocket and MyStory put together several videos highlighting these events and representing the Freeman Coliseum as the people’s Coliseum while also showcasing the aesthetic, functionality and comfort of the renovations. We also highlighted the wonderful acoustics of The Freeman Coliseum and how there is no bad seat in the house.
